Due to the rural location of the school when it was founded, it concentrated on curriculum on Agraculture Studies and Mechanical Engineering. Today, with the vast expanse of society, the curriculum is more diverse and the A and M are kept for purely historical and sentimental values.

It is an Ag school....used to have an emphasis on farming, ranching, animal husbandry....that sort of stuff.
Basically it is a school for hicks to learn more about doing hick stuff....Just teasing Aggies!!!
I almost married one once so I have to give them a little crap.
