Wouldent you want to know? You wouldent be a good friend if you kept it to yourself.

That's a tricky one. If you have a valuable friendship involved with your best friend - chances are you should be able to talk with her about everything. On the other hand, people are funny about learning the truth. Sometimes, they reject it - and instead, get angry with you for coming to them with it. You might want to weigh your options before saying anything. It can be a no-win situation. I've known cases that the girlfriend 'already' knows the boyfriend is not being true - AND - even though you 'saw' what you 'saw' - who's to say that he might just be flirting a little. You may not know the details of their relationship. People don't always tell it all. Be careful. You might not want to loose your friend - but keep your eyes open. You'll know what to do.

Although you cannot jump to conclusions about who this other girl is, you may mention it to her. If it is not an issue, he will not deny it and have a reasonable explanation, if he is cheating, then this will cause lots of problems, and may even strain your relationship with your friend because at one point or another the boyfriend will try to blame you for gossiping, etc., but stick by your friend, and when all is settled and the truth comes out, your friend will thank you.

You saw him going with another girl? Seeing is NOT believing, were they intimate? It could be just a friend. No harm double checking with your friend, but do it tactfully as if matter-of-factly E.g "hey, that day I saw xxx at this place..." and see what your friend say. If he has the habit of reporting to your girlfriend his whereabouts, she would tell you "yeah, he said he was going to xxxxx". If the place or activity she replied was not what you have seen, then you know he was actually lying to her, that's when you told her, you saw him at this other place... and the rest you know what to react.

Dont tell her - speak to the boyfriend first and get him to explain to your best friend.

You did not state what they were doing, it might have been completely innocent meeting of friends.

Your friendship would be better served by not judging until you know the full story. You could ruin a good friendship if you dont think this one out in full.

the best idea in this situation is to tell her what you saw. don't implicate that she's his girlfriend, but just tell her like you're a bystander not knowing he already has a girlfriend.
watch her expression, if she seem to believe you, then tell her what you think,
but if she doesn't, tell her you're really that sure, that maybe he doesn't feel that way. but let her act on her own.
but let her know that you're there for her, and want what's best for her.
also you might want to talk to the boyfriend before you go to your best friend, talk to him, ask who she is, see how he reacts.

If you were her what would you want? Puy your self in her shoes and do whats right. But do keep in mind that people often get mad at the messenger when they do not like the message.

stay out of it. you could however, take your friend to the same place that this boy might be with this other girl. That will keep you from being a tattle tale while helping your friend see what kind of jerk she is going with.
