you are physically addicted to caffeine. the headaches are caused as a result of having too little of the drug in your blood stream. you have a few ways to make the headaches stop. you can take advil and ride them out and not use caffiene ever again, you can continue to drink coffee and stay addicted, or you can get your body hooked on a stronger drug, like nicotene

Sounds like a caffeine addiction to me. Try cutting down your coffee consumption a little at a time until you are down to a cup or less a day. It'll be good for you.

Caffeine is makes your systolic blood pressure rise according to the article below. My gut feeling is that it increases the absorption rate of nutrients in your body, so that when you don't drink it you're literally feeling weaker because your body used caffeine as a crutch. I might also postulate that it induces a "fake adrenalin" signal to your nervous system.
