Does anybody remember that toy Captain Power??

Question

It was something like laser tag but they were spaceships and you would shoot each other with them like laser tag ----
but what made is so cool it had VCR tapes that you could play it with and you could shoot stuff with the cartoon and there was a cartoon show that came on for it and you good shoot stuff on the cartoon-----------------

I thought the whole concept was pretty cool but I never bought any of the toys. The TV show was beyond its time. Man, you hit a nerve with me. I used to watch that show every weekend. I was really bummed when it ended because it concluded so abruptly. It simply went off the air. I don't even recall any reruns. The powers that be cancelled the show and something else took over its time slot here in Denver.
