start with copying your favorite anime, no this is not plagarism, b ut all anime has the same basic layout, if you keep drawing your favorite, you will see you can put in your own tastes, and what you want, and you will develope your own.
you can buy one of hundreds of how to draw anime books.
Start with "How to draw Manga" and continue from there.
Once you get proportions rigth on anime, which is hard, they have larger heads, but smaller petite bodies, so it's harder to determine proportion without trial and error at first.
But Try to stay focused on EYES, and HAIR, peope pay most attention to those features... If you go to my profile then my 360 page, i think i have one of my older anime drawings there. THat's more manga than anime though.

It's hard to tell you without showing you in person, but here's a few tips:
*practice whenever you can on scrap paper or during class at school or something
*don't give up--no matter how ugly it turns out
*make them look like someone in particular or no one at all. not someone inbetween
*use your imagination
*watch for what your friends draw. pick up some of their traits, and you'll soon be drawing an adaptation of their style, and you'll be the only one who knows.
*be on the look out for new inspirations

i have a friend who rocks at drawing anime she says it takes hours to draw a picture.unless u can handle hours of drawing then go ahead if not quit

first of all do it because u love anime and secondm of all drawing the girls are easier because of softer features, try drawing females first the graduate to males ...... good luck!

all anime drawings have either really huge open mouths, or really small closed mouths at all times. they also tend to have cool hairdos.

really big eyes , ridiculous hair styles , lol , animals turning into large robots ... and a lot of sexual tension.
