im 16. why in 2000-2006 teens came more sex active ???????. there is a reason . how do u feel about this huge number ????

It is because the consequences of pre-marital sex are not as frowned upon now as they used to be. Back in the day getting an STD or becoming an un-wed parent were devastating things to have happen. These days, it is just swept under the rug.
Also morals and values are not as enforced as they used to be and religion/faith no longer plays a significant part in daily life.
People have always had the desire to be sexually active when they are young but the fear of the consequences kept them from acting on it.

Kids have too much stuff to do at a young age and are growing up too fast. Video games, young models, movies. Just be who you are and maybe you can change a few of your peers over to your side and not have sex. Just hang out and have fun going to the movies and playing real games like monopoly.

Because before 2000, YOU didn't realize HOW sexually active the world was. It has always been VERRRY sexually active. I wish you young people would stop acting like this is NEW just because YOU just figured it out recently!!!

I think that it's scary since a child can't raise another child. When I was 16 I thought that I knew everything, I was very wrong but at least I didn't get pregnant!!!

More divorces. Kids arnt getting a good role modle and parents arnt setting one. Kids watch there parents sleep arround and the parents dont discourage it. Media is pressuring sex, so they feel as though it is right.
