He is the perfect example of what a republican should be. At least he votes his conscious whereas republicans just fall into the party line.

Joe Lieberman is a good guy. But he's a good guy that's made mistakes. Personally, I don't care who wins. Either way it's going to be a Democrat, since the Republican is only garnering 9% in the polls.
The only concern I have with other state's elections is that it aids my party in getting the majority. Just 6 seats turns things over. It's not going to be easy (Five yes, the sixth will be a pain in the a - and I don't know if it will turn).
These will turn - Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Montana, Ohio, and Missouri. The other possibilities, and where it will be difficult to turn but it's possible are: Virginia, Tennessee (doubtful), Arizona, or Nevada.
The only Dem seats truly at risk are New Jersey (cause the Dems there screwed up big time) and Washington, although Cantwell is doing better now. Maryland and Michigan will stay in the Dem column.

Joe Liberman is a perfect example of what should happen in a democracy, if you do not like the decisions that they are making you vote them out. That being said he has not lost yet but if he does win he had better rethink his position on Iraq. Or he will be voted out.

I live in North Carolina now, but I lived over 30 years in Connecticut. I really like Joe Lieberman. He is probably one of 5 honest politicians in Washington. I voted for him in his last election in 2000 and and so did about 75% of Connecticut voters.
I agree with Joe on most issues, except Iraq. I'm not sure if I would have voted for him or not this time.
I probably would, because even though I disagree with him on the war, I like the fact I know where he stands and we will tell me the truth, even if it's not what I want to hear.

Joe Liberman may be a "Independent", but first he is person that has is own mind and beliefs. You don't always have to follow the party line, if you don't, in you soul, believe in it. I rather admire this in a politician.

Joe Lieberman is a pretty good example of what a statesman should be.
The biggest problem for Democrats right now seems to be figuring out just what THEY should be.

Absolutely. He is what I call a "good Democrat." Harold Ford, too.
I'm a conservative who is in constant amazement over the public antics of the Liberal left. These people are nuts! They hate the rich. They hate the miliatry. They hate our President. Good God, people. Move to Sweden!
Lieberman has common sense and is tough on terrorism. Yet he's no sellout. The guy is true to his party in the tradition of Kennedy (not the fat one, but J.F.K.) and F.D.R.
If the extremists chase people like Lieberman out of the party they will lose all hope of winning future elections here on earth. Those crazy-*** people are so far out of the mainstream!

He is a prefect example for both parties......do what you know is right....doesn't matter if you agree with any others, just as long as you think it is right, for your voters, and for the country
