On your desert island you already have the Bible and the works of Shakespeare. Which would you use to light a fire to cook the fish you've caught?

Neither, if you need paper to start a fire you are a lame survivor.

Definitely the Bible. It is full of lies and misconceptions. A true relationship with God comes from your own heart and mind and not in a book written by a bunch of power-hungry men thousands of years ago. I love Shakespeare, and I could never set fire to his brilliant work! It would be my only consolation being stuck on that island to have his poetry to read. (That and the fact that I'll never have to deal with stupid, annoying people ever again.)

The Shakespeare.

If you have read both, there are some very similar plays, taken from The Bible.

Also the Bible really is full of Sex, Violence, and Brimstone. Not always available in Shakespeare

The bible of course because I'm tired of all the religous stuff in the world. I would like to get entertained while I'm stuck in the desert eating fish.

Use driftwood and shavings or if none raw fish is OK. Japanese eat it all the time. I would conserve the reading matter for keeping my mind active.

p.s. you wouldn't need toilet paper with the sea to wash in.
