Supporters of circumcision say that it needs to be done because it is healthier or more hygienic or whatever. If a foreskin was so bad and unhygienic, wouldn't evolution (or God or whatever you choose to believe) have caused men to be born without foreskins in the first place?

I really don't see how a natural and integral part of the human body can be bad for the body. Some people don't clean behind their ears properly. Our earlobes don't improve our hearing that much, should babies have their earlobes cut off?

You make a good point and a valid one. Circumcision does not need to be done, and it's not significantly healthier nor more hygienic or whatnot. I mean, it follows the same logic as removing the tonsils or the appendix, but you don't see people routinely removing those, do you?

The circumcision support endures because of culture, not from pure science nor medicine. Something that's so ingrained in a culture as this is hard to fully disprove in people's minds, but easily supported with "proof" via biased science or medicine.

If you were to go to Europe or most of Asia, you wouldn't find widespread support of circumcision. They'd probably shrug and be like, if you need to get circumcised then get circumcised, but otherwise leave it alone - why fix something that's not broken?

HAHA! I never thought of it that way...I guess God didnt think of that...

Proof that God doesnt exist is that he created man with foreskin. But says that men should be circumcized, therefore proving that God made a mistake. If God is infallible, he cannot make a mistake, ergo, God does not exist!

I agree with you totally....most of the world doesn't do it anymore...Where I live ( in Alberta Canada), only about 2 out of every 10 newborn boys has it done these days. The only place is is still done to any extent is the U.S., and they are starting to wake up, and not do it.
