I have never been struck by lightning directly, but it struck the house next door, and I was looking out the window at the time. All I remember was a White Flash and ringing in my ears, then I realized I was across the room. I had my arms on the window pain and it was metal. It pushed me across the room and almost into my closet. It really freaked me out. Now I stay away from the windows in a Thunder storm. Hallelujah!!!!!!

Nope, but last week (or maybe it was the week before) there was a guy in Manhattan who was struck by lightening.... that really struck me (no pun intended) because I was walking in that thunderstorm and was freaked out by it.
When I was a kid, the house nextdoor was hit by lightening and caught fire... that was freaky.
I had a a former roommate have the house she grew up in as a teenager hit by lightening and burned to the ground, her sister was killed. They lived on a farm and did not have lightening rods. Now they have several.

My old man was hit by lightning about 20 years ago. He had the shakes for 6 months, and had so much energy stored inside his body, flourescent lights flickered when he got near them.

A matter of fact, I have. Not directly, but I had to put my arm through a chain link fence to unlock the pad lock on the other side and the fence was hit by lightening, maybe a mile away, but I was pretty severly burned between my armpit and bicep.

I have never been, BUT....I have a Great Aunt who was struck twice. It sounds crazy. But she lives out in the country....where you work in the fields alot. Besides the fact she is not the nicest person....believe me. (ever hear of "Karma"). Anyhow....she is still alive and well today. Get this to top it off....she is now a preacher. (My family is wacky...believe me!)

No but my brother was. Went through his ankle and made his hair stand on end. Had two black burn marks on each side of the ankle.
