hey, i was just curious on peoples opinions. i just read an article about it, and it is a very controversial term to define. its definition changes as time proceeds, do you think that youre still a virgin if the guy /girl youre with gives you oral, recieve, or is..inside of you without having intercourse... lol lack of words... haha im just curious on peoples opinions that's all. i believe it should all come down to what your own feeling is towards the term , what you believe and think ... did you lose your virginity when you were just " messin around" or did you lose your virginity when you had sex for the first time. i dunno it get s more confusing the more i write... responses should be interesting..

lol, yeah but they are making a big deal out of it in this article that i read, im not a virgin anymore , i lost it when i was 17 ... which isnt something to be proud of.... but i dunno never mind... sheesh

Every culture and sub-culture will define it differently depending on what they perceive as the norm. I think as Americans we are often dependent on media to tell us what might be legitimately innocent and virginal, whereas in other communities where TV and celebrity is not so important, it might be the priest or the local gossip telling us when someone has gone through a rite of passage.
I think a virgin is anyone who has not invested their whole body and mind into the act of sex. In other words, if someone is raped, that person should not be considered any less of a virgin because that person was not willing.
