Barkley! He's a BIG TIME player. My favorite player is KJ so I used to watch all of their playoff games. Barkley would hit big shots over 7 foot centers and lay ups over the same guys in key situations. Don't get me wrong Malone is unstoppable, but that' not enough.

Barkley was great enough to win a championship, he just had a little problem named Michael Jordan, he's just the greatest of all time that's all

Karl Malone

Close to call. Malone lasted longer and played better D, but folded when it mattered most in the playoffs. Scoring is kind of a wash. Barkley was maybe a slightly better leader, but he could be abraisive for his teammates too. He got traded for a reason. I think I'd choose Malone because he'd set a better example for the young players. Barkley was awesome, but hard for another big men to model themselves on, considering he was listed at between 6'4" and 6'6", and he had a big mouth that you wouldn't want rooks copying. Come postseason I might regret that choice though.

I do a thing called power rating - points+rebounds+assists = PR.
It is full proof as long as you have the right numbers/statistics.
Barkley is 22.1 + 11.7 + 3.9 = 37.7
Malone is 25 + 10.1 + 3.6 = 38.7

Well it looks like Karl Malone (from Louisiana) by a point.

Overall Barkley is waay better. You can how good he was during his prime, simply unstoppable. Malone needs super PG Stockton, Chuck can have his anytime he wants.

barkley. with a franchise you need good players and a way to sell tickets. obviously, they are both great, but barkley would sell more tickets than the mailman

Honestly, knowing what I do now, the answer is neither. If Steve Nash retires without a championship, then he will join them as the only MVP's ever to not win an NBA title. Not a great move on their parts. Great great players, but not title winners. Therefore, I move to select neither.
