My son is way to young to use myspace but I have a myspace and like other smart people use it SAFELY,Okay MYSPACE in itself yes is safe,but just like anywhere else on the internet there are strange predatory people that can be found on myspace,you have to take precautions and safety measures with your kids.My personal opinion is that these parents cant blame it all on myspace that their 14 year old daughters are posting revealing photos of themselves and contacting older men.You have to be on top of things!

I'm no parent, I'm only 13. But I definetly think myspace should be banned! I had one, but later on I kept getting so many requests for friends, from people I've never even met before! Probably predators. That's the only reason I quit, plus: I was on myspace so much, that I NEVER had free time to do things like watch television, play outside, talk to friends, movies, and more. So, don't do it. It's a life ruiner.

I'm not a parent but i think that mySpace isn't that safe to use anymore. I think that once a website like that becomes popular all preditors have to do is go on that website and look at teens profiles then ask to meet with them. I use another website similar to Myspace but it is not as popular.

well. im not a parent. but myspace itself is safe. its not myspace's fault that kids are talking to people they dont know. you just have to be smart and just accept friend requests from people you actually know. its not really an idea that is that far out.

There was a case, where a pervert tried to lure a girl from there, it ended up being a female cop. He was convicted of this. NO It's NOT SAFE..........Lot's of sick details left out of this answer.........

As long as your child keeps their profile private, and doesn't accept friend request from anyone they dont know, then it's fine. I'd monitor my child's profile though.
