Does anyone have any advice?

I'm going into H.S. 2 n im very nervous cuz i live in the ghetto n my H.S. is REALLY bad, it' s one of the worst schools in the state n i'm not 2 happy 2 be going there so if you're going 2 a good school then u should be alright.......unlike me i have 2 stay out of trouble bcuz u never know if the person next 2 u is going 2 beat u up soo i'm scared 2 go 2 that school, but what can i do?My family is broke as hell, so there is no $$$ 4 a private school. So my advice 2 u is 2 just be urself and stay out of trouble n try 2 be cool w/everybody cuz u never know when u might need one of them. I'm gonna need 2 be kool w/all of the big ppl so they can stick up 4 me incase i need it LOL, i think this is a very good question, i think i'm going 2 post it myself.

I hate to sound cliche, but the best advice I can give is to be yourself... if something doesn't feel right, it probably isn't. I am going to be a senior this year, and I have spent three years pretending to be what I am not. It is all catching up to me that all of the pretending and social climbing HURT people who I cared about, and it hurt me as well. So be what you know you can be. Learn to recognize toxic friends... the ones who will hurt you in the long run... learn the difference between what feels right now, and what will be right in the long run. And this might sound defeatist, but learn that you are not perfect, and not everyone is going to like you... no matter what you do. Good luck in high school!

Be yourself. Don't give in to the fads and groups at the school. Look around and find activities that are interesting to you and join in. Don't be timid or afraid to try something new and different. Study and do your homework, and don't wait until the night before the test to start studying.

FINISH! I didn't finish high school and I was sorry for it later. I did end up getting my G.E.D. and am going to college now but it would have been a lot easier if I had finished high school. I missed out on everything. So just study hard but don't be a geek. You will be fine its only 4 years and it will be over before you know it.

Pay attention, keep your grades up, and don't be a follower and do the negative things! trust me I regret it and I'm now paying for what I did!!!! YOU and your family should always come 1st. Before you do anything think of your family 1st. Try to work on a good college resume, join a club, band, sport, ect.

ya dude im in my last year of high school and well if u like to play video game join the video game club and they have clubs for almost every thing and dont ***** up with grades if u wanna go to college make sure u have good grades that way it's easyer to get in.

be nice to everyone you meet!! i know that you have your group of friends but try to go and meet everyone you can!! you'll enjoy HS way more!! try new sports and everything that your school has. help the peolpe around you andlike i aready said be nice to everyone you meet!! what comes around goes around!! good luck and have fun

Don't be too shy, strike up conversations in different classes and act confident. Don't overdue it though.
