Why does Goofy stand erect while Pluto remains on all fours? They're both dogs?

Ha! Goofy is not a dog. Pluto is. Disney modeled Goofy as a man, which is why he stands upright and talks.
Here's an excerpt from the Disney site:
Goofy was created as a human character, as opposed to Pluto, who was a pet, so he walked upright and had a speaking voice (first supplied by Colvig, and later by George Johnson, Bob Jackman, and Bill Farmer).

Because the world is damn complicated, Why does a mouse own a pet, a dog, which is way smaller than him... Why does a mouse own a cat? I've seen this answer in a question asked before ... Rumor has it that Goofy and Pluto were once brothers, but one day Goofy sold his brother (to mickey mouse) to have super human powers ... and shwala! a new Goofy has been born, and he got out of the PET SHOP, since then Mickey Mouse befriended Goofy because in his city, Wizards are forbidden so even though Goofy is plain Duffus, Mickey befriended him!

Lol this question has been asked so much over the years. The reason is because Pluto first was Mickey Mouse's pet dog..then Walt Disney felt that Mickey and Goofy should meet..and so when they met Pluto also met Goofy..all the Walt Disney cartoons have been in atleast one cartoon together..so yeah. It isnt because goofy is smarter.

I've already answered this question today, but here it goes anyway: There is a complex social caste system among dogs which allows some dogs to obtain an education while others must remain as slaves. Goofy is part of this upper caste, which, due to inbreeding much like that of classic systems of social hierarchy and royalty, is ironically also the cause of his below average intelligence.

Goofy is humanoid and Pluto is from outer space. WHen Pluto came to the planet earth he overcompensated and decided it best to walk on all fours as not to attract attention.

Well I'm not sure but i don't think pluto is considered as highly as goofy, but then answer me this why does Mickey and Minie stand up when they are mice?

Goofy is a character. Pluto is a pet. I would say Goofy is more evolved, but we all know better.
