molex77, Patrick Roy DID request a trade. One game as a Hab against the Red Wings he gave up 7 (I think) goals. However the Montreal coach refused to pull him, and he finally did, Roy went straight to the locker room, and after the game he quested a trade.

Anyways, I think for the most part, there will be boos, and some clapping.

EDIT: Oh I thought molex said Roy requested a trade. Oh well, there's your hockey history lesson for the day.

I'm a very big Theo fan. Would love to see him get a good ovation. He may have had a bad year or two in Montreal but fans have forgotten how he singlehandedly brought the Habs to the playoffs during his MVP year. Excited to see Theo vs. Huet matchup. Go Habs GO!

They were fairly respectful of Patrick Roy and since the Habs traded him(he didn't really request from what I remember), I think it'll be pleasent.

nicely Montreal followers are enormously difficult on their ex-goalies, yet i think of he would be ok for his new team, and the followers will in all likelihood be annoying on him to start yet they're going to come around after some greater appearances.

They will respect what he did for the Habs and applaud him. Let's remember it wasn't his choice to leave, so he didn't leave on bad terms with the team and the city.

Deep down, he still has the CH tattooed on his chest.

Montreal fans are very tough on their players when their on the team. I think they will boo him.

Theo? ... It isn't like he went to an arch-rival. I think he'll get some applause when he is announced ... and then get rooted against the rest of the way.
