are there any problems with the system that I need to be aware of??

Like any VOIP service, you will have to get used to some things about it.
I have been using Vonage for about 2 years. For me, it works great. I have brought my Vonage phone adapter with me on vacations, so I can call anywhere. Last year I was in Hong Kong for two weeks. It was awesome.
But I have found that a small UPS does the trick to Keep the telephone working through brief power outages. Obviously, the phone adapter, router and cable modem are kept alive by the UPS.
Every once in a long while, the phone does go dead. This is not worse than a cell phone, but irritating all the same. But generally, the voice quality is awesome.
GO FOR IT.

I work for Bellsouth, i recommend anyone to remain with a phone company that can do just that provide you with phone service digital phone service is not good at all we have 1000's of customers calling us to switch back becAuse of all the problems.

Depending on the neighborhood you live in you wil get constant problems because so many people are trying to steal cable. I went 4 days without service. But it is goodfor the most part

no i got the all in one and love it. its grate. the first day it was braking up and i called them and the next day it was working grate and i told them they didn't have to come but they said they would still come anyway to check it out. i love the free call waiting and call forwarding and you can check your voice mail from any phone any were. ii also got the DVR and that's only like 5 bucks a month and i like record a show and start watching it like 20 minuets later and fast forward through the commercials and it end just about when it would end regularly

We just got it and we thought it would be great. I hate it, am thinking of going back to Sattelite, land line and DSL. Their internet connection is constantly going out!

If your electric goes out than your phone doesn't work. Other than that it's good I think.
