I've been sleeping all the time lately and I'm achy all over. Last night alone I slept 15 hours! I know this might be a stretch, but I'm wondering if this could be a symptom of pregnancy? I'm not depressed or anything so I don't know what else it might be. Thanks for your input!

(Yes, my husband and I have had unprotected sex, so of course, I know, there's a chance of pregnancy)

(No, I haven't taken a home pregnancy test yet. I'm too far away from my "missed" period... it'll come out negative still.)

Being tired is a MAJOR sign of pregnancy along with sore/sensitive breasts. Those are the 2 things I seemed to notice before I was even late on my period with both pregnanies. When is your period due? I would say to test right after you would be late. I so think that you could be pregnant. Other symptoms would include but are NOT limited too...
1. Missed or late period (spotting also)
2. TIRED
3. Nausea or vomitting
4. Bloating
5. sore or tender breasts
6. frequent urination
7. being moody

Actually, it could be a mild depression. On the days before I start feeling normal, or I'm just getting into a depressive phase, I'll sleep 12-15 hours, and sometimes feel a little lazy. I have no other symptoms of depression for days. It's kinda like a hint of depression. And sometimes I'll just get that little bit then be normal again instead of becoming depressed. It's really weird. Though my depression is often dictated by horomones, so for me it's probably because of horomone flux.

As for what you're feeling, I didn't feel like that before finding out I was pregnant, but I guess it takes all kinds. You could also have a mild flu. Last one I had, I just had that achy feeling and was tired. So who knows? If you're a week or less until your period, it could also be your body reacting to the pregnancy. If it's more than a week until your pregnancy, then probably not. The earliest symptoms I've ever heard of start to appear a week before your period. Before then your body doesn't even know you're pregnant.

well most of the time when your pregnant you should only sleep about 8-12 hours a day. 3 more hours isn't nothing. So you might be pregnant but no one on here can't tell you if you are really pregnant. When did you start sleeping this long. I would wait for the missed period, that's the best thing you could possible do. You should go to wal-mart and buy some prenatal pills asap. That's just in case you are pregnant. Good luck!

Could be a sign of pregnancy. I slept all the time in my first trimester. I could hardly hold my head up! Also, my body was very achy. Wait till you miss your period and take a test.

You COULD be pregnant. Since it's too early to tell I'd take it easy and stay as healthy as possible just in case you are. I'm not sure if a blood test will be able to tell you or not but you could call an OBGYN office to see if they can get you in soon.
Take care & good luck!!

if you stay tired and your period doesn't come then that could be the reason!
or, if your period comes and you still feel tired you should go to the doctor. he might check your thyroid function. hypothyroidism is not uncommon in women and it can make you feel like a zombie.

You could be pregnant, but it could be something else. Go to a doctor if it is messing with your daily life. Sleeping too much is as bad as not getting enough sleep too...
