Yes of course. It doesn't matter if the person is relating to one or more people. Are condoms being used? If not, there is a big risk. How sure is this person that his/her partner is not doing the same to him/her. I don't see commitment in this relationship, if they are having affairs. Commitment has gone through the window long time ago.

It is always possible to get an STD when having sex. You have to realize there are a ton of different STD out there today. Here are some statistics :

1 out of 3 people will get HPV

1 out of 5 people will get Herpes

Use protection – but protection will not prevent you from getting HPV its really common.

Firstly, they are not in 'a committed relationship' or they wouldn't be having an affair. Second, what difference does it make what kind of relationship they are in? STDs are transmitted through sex. Of course they are at risk.

Your friend is a liar. No offense meant but your friend and his/her partner are not in a committed monogamous relationship if they are seeing other people and having illicit sexual relationships.

As for the question of STDs, if your friend and his/her partner is unsure of who their having sex with, the best that they can do is to get tested for STDs and the worst-case scenario of HIV.

Playing with fire will definitely get your friend burned and dead.

Peace.

YES. A STD can be contracted by anyone and you only have to have sex once to get it. If your friend did catch something she should be honest with her boyfriend before she gives it to him too. Tell her to go to a clinic and get tested for STD'S. And for future reference you should use a condom when your having sex with a man that isn't your boyfriend. Oh yeah and she better hope that she caught something that goes away and pray she didn't get HIV.. Be SMART, tell her to think with her head not her coochie.

Yes! anyone can get an STD if they have sex with anyone who has an STD. Using a condom only reduces the risk. That's one of the best ways to know your partner has been cheating. Get him checked and if he's gotten one and you don't have it...Bingo!!!

Yes, if either one of the persons they sleep with are sleeping with other people, or have slept with an infected person. This is the way for your committed partner to find out your cheating......
