I want to wear a color that compliments their colors, but don't want to stand out too much.

Pink and purple? What are women thinking....

Dude, just wear black, like a tux, with a white shirt and black tie. You will be fine.

At weddings, nobody looks at the guys. It is all about the women.

My husband had this same problem, we went to a PINK wedding. He wore a black suit with a pink and black tie. Alot of men at the wedding did the same thing. Or even had a pink or purple shirt with a black suit and tie. You can never go wrong with black. Have you heard of the little black dress you can wear to anything, kind of the same for a guy and a black suit.

did fa yaya just say purple was a SOFT color?

I would first ask the groom and/or bride first before you do this. I would wear a white suit (or black) and wear a pink tie. It still looks nice and follows the normal colors but instead make yourself stand out by putting in some pink and/or purple accessories.

A white Tux with a pink tie/flower would look awesome I think, yet the white won't stand out that much against the pink all the ladies are wearing.

A very light grey suit or button up shirt, or silver tie....the silvers and greys tend to compliment the purple and pinks without making you the "stand out"....
If your getting really dressed up, get a light grey suit and wear a tie that has a hint of pink and/or purple in it....

if you aren't in the wedding party that doesn't exactly matter too much. but if you insist on matching i think a man wearing pink in a small way (such as your tie) is pretty hot. doesn't mean your gay to wear purple or pink. if you wear one or the other for a color it's the attutide you take with it, you can be just as confident in these colors as much as "manly" colors.

then wear pink or purple, that way (at the wedding) you won't stand out, also you'll be complimenting there colors.

white always works for weddings....you could put it with a pink or purple tie. don't wear black tho....pink and purple for a wedding are too soft for a color like black

Blue would be good. But there are lots of lavender types of colors that are also nice on men. Guess you'll have to see what looks good with your skin type. Not too feminine. Just right.
