Yes, they will fire you, in most cases, if you drink a competitor's soft drink at work (If you are caught drinking it anywhere and someone wants to report it, you CAN BE fired, It is company policy that you drink what your workplace makes.). The reason is that by doing so you not only pay the competitor, you show that you are not loyal to your employer. Now you may have noticed that I said "In most cases". I say this because at the Pepsi plant my dad works at, there is Dr. Pepper in all the vending machines, and while DP is distributed in some places by Pepsi, is it made by a separate company. You wouldn't normally think of DP as a Pepsi competitor, they are competing in the soft drink industry.

I doubt that Pepsi in vending machines is available at Coke factories. If you brought it from home, I'm sure they wouldn't care. That's like saying if you work at any restaurant you can't eat anywhere else. Or if you work for Ford you'd be required to drive one.

It would be very difficult. There isn't a single store or soda machine which sells Pepsi within miles of Coke headquarters.
So you probably would be fired. (Because you would have to make a special effort to do it.)

No pepsi products aren't allowed inside the coke plant.
Same with Pepsi. If you work at Wendy's you can't go across the road and get Mcdonald and bring it back inside the Wendy's.....Really!

I would think that the answer is yes. There was a case in Missouri where a driver for the local distributor of Miller Beer was fired for drinking Bud light when he was out at a bar on his day off. He sued, but I'm not sure what the outcome was.

You are risking your job. I would say, yes.
My Dad worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber for over 30 years. I onced asked him if someone drove in the parking lot with Firestone Tires on the car, would they be fired? And, he said "yes."
Because "It's Goodyear, not Firestone Tire where this person works," he said. "If they are foolish enough to buy tires from another company, well, they deserve to get fired."
How's that for an answer?
