Here is a link to a website that sells the stickers you need. I hope this helps! =)

p.s. These are in a larger more bold font size, so hopefully that will help with your hunting and pecking too! =)

We use iBooks for reporters and have run into the same problem. Most reporters touch type, so they don't really care if the letters wear off, but it bothers some of them.

If you look carefully at the keys with a light source at an acute angle to the keyboard, you can usually see the outline of the letter. This is going to sound crude, but it works if you have a steady hand. Get a finepoint Sharpie marker (the indelible kind) and carefully color in the letter. I use a one of those big magnifying glasses on an adjustable arm. If you're careful, only a close inspection will show that it's not a factory job. If it wears off again, repeat the process.

Best part -- your investment for the Sharpie should be less than $1.

Good luck!

Look for sheets of "dry transfer lettering", wax paper loaded with rub-on letters. They were commonly used to lay out signs before computer typesetting came around. A well-stocked art supply store should have some.

Clean the key well, rub the letter into place, and seal it with clear nail polish to keep the edges from lifting as you type.

It's not really a Mac problem, it can happen to any computer. I think that they do sell those in computer stores.
