I need one for a photoshoot but I dont want to buy or keep on any ideas? Can you buy and return snakes?

Find someone with a snake who will let you take a pic of it. I'm in San Diego and I have a few snakes you could take a pic of. Why not repost with your city and ask if anyone has a snake you could take a pic of.

Look in the yellow pages under "Pet Wranglers" or petting zoos or ask your local pet store if you can borrow one....But be careful, there are laws when animals are used for commercial photo shoots....don't want the Humane Society up in arms!

go on the forums at http://www.kingsnake.com. Try to find someone in your area and ask them if you can photograph their snakes. I'm sure a lot of people would be happy to.

Uh, Petco has some ballpoint boas.... But if you don't wanna buy one, ask all your friends and your friend's friends.... Etc.... Or look on the net, but that's pretty much what you're doing..... Ehh.... Never mind I guess.
