I am pregnant with my first baby and they gave me a papsmear to check for abnormal cells, chlamydia, and other std's. It's better to make sure that everything is healthy for the baby's sake..congratulations on your pregnancy!

You do need to be tested for a lot of bacteria and viruses prior to your child's birth, so I wouldn't be surprised if your ob/gyn wants to do a full vaginal exam and take samples.

YES!! This screens you for cancer and you need this screening. They also do an STD screen, so this is also a must for the health of your baby.
