Risk is the best board game ever. Trying to take over the world with vast armies and a roll of a Dice pitting and racking your brains with your friends.
The best computer game is the Resident Evil Series with Resident Evil 4 being the best one so far im still playing it despite having completing the game 8months ago.

I think I'd have to go with Legend of Zelda, the series more than a specific game in it, though I'd probably have to settle on Ocarina or Link to the Past if you make me pick one of them. It mixes action and puzzles well, makes you think. You're the classic underdog against insurmountable odds, and you get to save a princess! Who can't love that? It was also the first game to have saving capabilities, rather than huge long passwords to write down and forget. And Link's left handed, one of very few heroes in gaming world to be such.
If you mean any game at all and not just video games, I'd have to go with chess. Cuz hey, it's chess.

It depends on what category of games are you talking about - action/strategy/RPG et al...my favorite so far is Grand Theft Auto. Gives me action/adventure and strategy and not to forget the cheat codes ;)
