I am 27 weeks pregnant today. In June, I started to notice that my feet were swollen. I chalked it up to being hot outside, and thought nothing else of it. It got to the point where I couldn't fit into my shoes. I decided to go to the podiatrist. I have been seeing him since June. At one point, my ankle felt like it would break if I stood for too long. The doctor had to put this gel on my feet, which helped. I was also on bedrest for a while, due to the fact that I couldn't sit alot while at work. The foot is still a little swollen, but has gone down a lot. Talk to your doctor, if you feel that the advice given is not good enough, then see a podiatrist.

I had that problem when I was pregnant. Keep drinking water, no soda. The soda used to make the swelling worse for me during the pregnancy. Put your feet up once in a while too. You do not just want to sit around, though. Take it easy when you are walking.

It could (Emphasis on COULD!!) be a sign of preeclampsia... You might go see your OB GYN or at least give him/her a call. Elevate your feet, if you decide against going to the ER... You said you've not had any swelling until just now, and you're due in a month... So you really should go get bub checked out, to make sure everything's still going right. I'd think you might should go to the ER asap.

Swelling in a pregnant woman's body is usually due to high blood pressure. This condition is called preeclampsia, and seems to be -- in your case -- brought about by the pregnancy. My sister has this same condition right now, and her doctor is inducing labor a week early because of it. It would be a good idea to see your doctor.

Drink lots of water and elevate feet when ever possible. Call your doctor to make sure your blood pressure isn't to high. Lay on your left side for optimal circulation.

It could be a number of things. If it has been a gradual thing I wouldnt worry about it too much, but still let the doc know. If it seems to be a sudden onset, let your doc know immediately! It could be a number of things, none of them good for you or the baby.....some of them very dangerous or life threatening!

Drink plenty of water and don't eat things that have a high sodium content. Also, stay off your feet...RELAX! Keeping your feet up would be even better. You should be taking it easy...it's almost time! Congrats and take care.

You definitely need to get in touch with your OBGYN as soon as possible!! It's possible you are getting the beginning stages of Toxemia and this could be dangerous to both you and your baby. The same thing happend to me when I was pregnant.

Tell the doc. It could be toxemia. Get your feet up above your heart. Toxemia is a bad one, but swelling while pregnant is not uncommon.
