The reason I asked this question is I have been stung many times in my life but just last Friday I was stung and went into anphylactic shock ( spelling) and ended up hospitalized

I think the Bee you are asking about is pretty much common through out North America. Commonly refereed to as just a Honey Bee. I would like to refer you to the link below..I hope this can give you some more detailed answers to your question..Good Luck..
