Will acquiring company buy the stock from me at their stated price or will I have the option of being folded into the new company with the same number of shares presently owned?

The stock takes the biggest jump at the announcement of the takeover and it is best to sell at that time.

Its an all cash deal at $70.50 a share. So thats what you will get for your shares when the deal is done. You wont get the option of trading your shares for Anakarko. You willl only recieve the cash for your shares in KMG.. If it should happen to go above their offer price, plus your trading commissions, it might be a good idea to sell. Otherwise just wait for the deal to go through.
