I'm 17, 18 in early January. People seem like it's hard to believe that I'm 17. When I met my boyfriend's brother yesterday he thought I was 22! I think I look 17, what's up with everyone?

I don't know. Mine has gone the other way with people thinking I'm younger than I really am. I didn't appreciate that as a teenager; but now at 53, I love it. My mother always looked a lot younger than she was. Does your mother look older, younger, or just right for her age? That might give you a clue as to why others think you are older.

I'm 52 and I still get away with 35! When I was 25 people thought I was 18. I hated it then but I'm laughing now!

maybe you act older and put too much make up and dress 22....I am 17 turnin 18 in november they say i look 12.... i dont put lots a make up ,just mascara and i still enjoy my time as a teen , i dont act much like an adult not conservative or not too crazy , that makes you seem old and i have fun....i dont get mad often that affects the old thing too.. so dont get mad and.... girl you are still a kid not an adult not until you are way older....

im 21 and people still think im 17. i see that as a big compliment. who wants to look older. maybe u wear too much make up. too much make up when ur really young adds years to ur face.

probably because you look mature and usually when guys say u look like you are in your twentys is because maybe he thinks your hot because hello most people in there twentys are HOT
