This is ridiculous ! Brazil over the years have produced some exceptionally talented players such as Pele,Zico, Socrates, Garricanha, Falcao ( many more) and have displayed sublime football. To say they are overrated is a clear example that person is ignorant or extremely jealous. Show respect to a team like Brazil because they desreve to be respected even though you may support other teams ! Even Beckenbauer commented saying he wants every team to follow the Brazilian Football as they don't just play but they dance with the football and mesemerizes everyone by the beauty of their play.

and if people think they know more than Backenbauer, I will retract my statement! Beckenbaeur is one of the best footballers the world has ever seen....what an amazing footballer he was !

yeah, saw a question about brazil being "overrated" a while back. didn't bother to reply, lol. just as long as i know the right people respect and admire brazil, i'm happy and satisfied. people have their own favorites and seems like the only way they know how to express admiration for their teams is to question other people's choices but that's ok. to each his own, and their attiitude or prejudices reflect on them anyway so i can't complain. i still think brazil is top-ranked by fifa for a good reason, and i know the capabilities of my team. truth is, we brazil fans should be flattered by all these negative comments cuz it only proves that brazil remains a force to be reckoned with. brazil and agentina are former world champs, were the top qualifiers in the tournament, and they both didn't reach the finals yet you don't hear people say argentina is overrated, do you? brazil is and always will be regarded as THE threat to any team aspiring to dominate the game, so the doubters can say what they want i don't care, i know better.

Brazil had a bad turn out this WC end of story. Many other teams did too. I have said earlier today in another Question that they have the proven ability to produce great footballers consistently and can never be written off. They are rebuilding now, like all teams do at one time or another. They will return to the form they are known for. There is too much football history that goes with Brazil for them not to.

I And despite their poor performance in the WC, they still rank # 1 in FIFA. Now, who can beat that? They have been #1 in FIFA ranking for the past 5 years.

brazil is not overrated, they are an excellent team who have good players with good skills, just because another team beat them, it doesnt mean they arent bad. brazil is the still the #1 champion and even if they lose that place, they will still be legendary and always remember.

Depends. Are you talking about the last cup or before? To me, the last good Brazilian team was the 1990 one. They won the cups in 1994 and 2002 because they know how to win, even with those two mediocre teams. The 1954 was a great team and 1970, one of the best ever. The last great Brazilian player was Romario and many, many before him.

people are just saying that brasil is overrated because of their poor performance during the world cup this year.
however, they do have a beautiful way of playing the game and yes, brasil has in fact produced some of the world's most talented athletes.

I think that the Brazilian team are very lucky to have die-hard fans...regardless of their wins or losses,we still be cheering for them...coz simply,they all represent ONE thing...and that thing is called TALENT.
