it feels extremely different when u are in love with someone who is in love with you...funny huh? but if u love someone, but it is not reciprocated, u end up with sadness, and hurt feelings. when u are in love w/ someone who loves u back, it is such a wonderful feeling! u feel free, happy, and positive, and so strong, that u can get thru anything no matter how hard, because u have eachother and trust eachother! work on urself, be a great person. if u are confident in urself, u will expect good things for urself, such as a good boyfriend, cuz u deserve it. u will filter out any negative people, who u may love, but don't love u back in a healthy way, and keep the positive ones around you. it will take time, and they're harder to find, but they're worth it!! :)

Love is complex, it has so many meanings, but just putting it in a simple context as in your Q. Being in Love, i would believe to think, is the aftermath of 'Falling in Love', and you always want that person with you, as your always on a high! Loving someone, maybe has been there for a while, and could be a more steady option, than being in love. I hope this helps.

Hey Pebbles!
Good question! Only you can know that difference!
Being in love is different for eveyone, but you and only you know when you are! When you love someone, that someone has no faults in your eyes! And when you lay down close with them, it never feels close enough! You always wanna be closer!
Just loving someone can often be habit! Don't ever settle for just loving someone! Wait for the being!
I want to ask a question about love! Answer mine, love to hear your views!

Loving someone mean fancying them-being in love with someone means caring about them, wanting to be with them and giving yourself physically to them.

You won't have sex with ur best friend-but you would with a guy that sweeps you off your feet. Most people can't tell the difference between loving someone and being in love with someone-that's why I think most relationships don't work because we go into with a feeling that's not real.

When ur inlove with a person u think about them night and day, every minute of the day. You're also more affectionate towards them.

By my perspective the difference lies in the flavor of the relationship. You can love anyone without regard for morality, propriety, legality, etc. but, if you are in love with someone, it is something more actionable. Because you want to get closer, all-of-a-sudden, the morality and such become a factor.

When you are in love, every time you see the person your heart beats faster and you might even get a little nervous and you are extremely happy to see that person or get really excited when they call. If you just love someone then it is not like that, you talk whenever you talk and your not sitting around anxiously awaiting there call. If you do not want to spend all your time with the person and all that then you probably just love them and are not in love with them.

the difference is you can love anybody such as a family member, or a friend, but if you are in love with someone you want more than just the connection you want a relationship.

you can love anyone, just for who they are, but being in love is when you cant stand to be apart from that person, you want to be next to them at night and forever, you cant stand the thought of them not being with you for the rest of your life.
