Why do so many people listen to music,film and book critics?

Because they are afraid to have an opinion of their own. My husband sometimes listens to movie critics, but I think they don't know me and have no idea what I'd think of something. I only go by previews.

I don't think people "follow" critics but listen to them to get an idea of what a film is about. In fact, everyone is a critic, but it is nearly impossible to criticize, for the masses, books and music. You can't determined what is pleasing to the ears and the mind from one person to another. As far as movie, the only thing they can possibly say if weather a movie is oscar worthy or not. We vote with our dollars.

Most critics are overbearing and are only interested in their own self worth. And the people who follow critics are just trying to prove that they are in some sort of "knowledgable" club. They feel the need to belong. But we know they are secretly watching the Carrot Top movie or reading the latest X-Men comic book.
You know what you like and don't like after awhile so you make your best critic.

there are such various glaring solutions, yet i will bypass with The Godfather. BQ--grasp and Commander. I do exactly like the books, however the nautical expressions could make the action no longer undemanding to stick to. the action picture did a dazzling job of modifying the final areas of various books interior the series and imparting you with a actual experience for the story and characters.
