Yes, because they have to get medical consent for anything they do since they are minors. We dont let them get breast implants, or gastric bypass surgery without consent, so why should this be any different? The only reason people fight to allow kids to do this without consent, is because they want to further their own agenda with abortion. There can be serious complications from abortion and a parent has the right to know what signs to watch out for.

Well, if the girl is at a young age (like 11-15) then yeah. But otherwise, no. I think girls around the age of 16 are adults as it is, so they can handle an abortion. If there werent abortions, more girls would be stuck with a kid when they're not ready (unless they put it up for adoption, and that can be a pretty hard thing to do) They probably wouldnt be able to follow their dreams and do things they want to do. At least thats my opinion

Of course not! It is NONE of the parent's business, even if the girl is a minor. They can't force her to have a baby she doesn't want. Thank "god" that in California, you don't have to have parental consent to have an abortion. I had my first at 16. My parents do know about it, though. They are smart. They are pro-choice. They would have allowed me to do so, but I felt it was a personal decision and should not tell anybody about it, but I eventually told my parents, and they support me.

"Kill" the insignificant, unwanted fetuses!

No....If teenagers are sexually active---then they dont need their parents permission to have sex, so they shouldnt need their parents consent to get an abortion.

Abortion, under 4 months of pregnancy is not "murder" as they say. The fetus has no soul and is a lump of flesh.

If you need an abortion--get an abortion--period.

Definitely. That is the biggest thing to go through. Been there and it is true story scary. I think moms are the best person to be there with. I had one when I was young behind my moms back and I regret it completely. Moms have the right to know what their daughters are going through and be there for them for comfort and support. I will definitely want my daughter to let me know. They should have to get consent from parents for this.

yes definitly. You have to have a parent's consent if you get a tattoo, piercing, plastic surgery, enroll in school etc. Why should abortion be any different?

Yes, but if you want to have an abortion that's your choice, and anyone who tells you differently has no right to. BTW, to anyone you is telling you that abortion is murder, everyone deserves a second chance, so if you want an abortion that's your decision.

Because teenagers are under their parents care. Parents should be made aware of what is going on with their children

I'm going to say no.

It would lead to an increase of self induced abortions at home, which will lead to more deaths of young girls... or more babies thrown in garbage bags left for dead.

UMMM i think so.... i think a TEEN is to young to deal with the aftermath. not so much that they'll make the right decision, but having a parent be there with them or help them understand what can happen afterwards may help. I think the decision should ultimately be theirs, but their parents should be informed to help them cope when it's all said n done. it's not something that should be taken lighly!
