A taser is (in almost all cases) not a deadly weapon.
The explanation the officer gave as to why they didn't use pepper spray, force, etc. seem to make sense. A taser is (while I imagine painful) the best option & the safest way for all those involved.
This officer made a very wise choice. Tasers are used today instead of violent (batons) & deadly (firearm) force. Tasers are a non-deadly subduing weapon. It was the right call, and she deserved it.

I watched part of the video and I don't think she should have been tasered at all, but the second time she shouldn't have been for sure. After all the taser is supposed to immobilize then how in the hell did he expect her to put her hands behind her back if she is immobilized?? Duh.
True, she should have done what she was told but she was not a threat.
I think tasers should be outlawed, here in Florida there have been many deaths as a result of the taser, I think until they find out why they shouldn't be used any more.

I didn't view the footage, but I personally think police officers use too much force on many people. I know they sometimes need to use force, but I've seen many times where they went overboard and hurt people that didn't do anything. I read something once stating that most cops were bullies in school that decided to go into this field to continue being bullies. I don't know if that's true, but it sounds more so than not to me. PS---Tasers can hurt people really bad if used improperly. Tasers have made it easier for people to hurt/rape/kill others by making it available to anyone. It's helpful in protecting yourself, but it could also be harmful if used by the wrong person. Example: It's great to have to protect yourself if someone is trying to rape you. It's a horrible device if the rapist is using it to subdue you.

She got what was coming to her. Maybe if that happend more, people would have more respect, and obey the law. If a cop tells you to get out of the car, she needs to do it.
Plus, she did not need to be driving while on her cell phone, that is dangerous and rude. Plus is a speeding SUV, I am glad he did it to her, she got what she deserved! What should he do, let her make a fool out of him, and not listen to the law?
He warned her about it. What was he to do, beat her, go into the car? He told her at least 4 times to do what she was told.

She very much deserved it. A loud mouth uncooperative biotch.
Maybe next time she'll do what she's told and not try to turn her inability to obet into a race issue.

i don't think it was right. she didn't have a gun she wasn't cursing him out nor did she threaten him. i think the girl who said she deserved it is a racist. if the person was black, white, mexican, purple, or yellow. noone deserves that type of treatment. she WAS NOT a threat. those stupid crooked cops needs to be fired because they take cold slam advantage of situations.

No, the officer should have tried to handcuff her first. I don't know what she did in the car..... but that's not the way it should have been handled.
