I was just coming off of knee surgery after a year in pro football and moved to Denver to recoup. I joined Great Expectations Video Dating Service which was for higher class professional career people. I selcted 4 woman that I wanted to meet. There were 460 members which was 430woman and the rest guys with the average age of members was 34 and I was 25. Dont remember what happened to the other girls, but I married the 4th and that was 26 years , 2 grown daughters; 1 married and 1 fantastic grandson ago. I eventually went to work for the company which was 3 strong (800+ now) filming and arranging meetings and under cover in other video dating services

My husband and I met in the Junior High School Cafeteria about... 14 years ago! I was talking to his cousin and had my back to the empty chair behind me when he walked up behind me and said, "Excuse me, is this seat taken?" I said, "no." and thought nothing of it. Until he tapped me on the shoulder again and asked if I minded if he sat next to me. I said, No. He sat down and tapped me on the shoulder again and told me his name and asked what mine was. I told him my name (which later I found out that he already knew my name from asking his cousin) and then while I was thinking that most 15 year old boys are not that polite and so surely he was being a smart a** when he kept asking me questions. He asked me how old I was. I thought for sure he was messing with me so, I said (In a smart a** tone) How old do you want me to be? Then I instantly felt horrible because he looked like I just slapped him. So I told him that I was sorry, I thought that he was messing with me. (The entire time, his cousin was having a good laugh about the whole thing!)
So after that we talked and he carried my books and walked me to all of my classes for the rest of the day. Then at the end of the day he asked me if he could call me. I gave him my number and 14 years later we have been married for 6 years and have 4 children. Junior High... who would have thought?

Ex-spouse...but no matter.

We met in a karate class. I was taking the class because the previous boyfriend had decided to take me into the middle of nowhere and threat to rape me. I made the assumption I couldn't always find the perfect rock to beat someone to a bloody pulp with...so I signed up for karate.

my husband has done some horrible things and we will be through within a few weeks but

we met through an online dating service almost four years ago i had gotten through a few questions and i had to leave so i saved what i had done intending to come back later and finish

my user name was the same as my email adress and i got an email from him so instead of finishing the questions i decided to answer him back just before i hit send email i got an instant message ..it was him

he goes hey are you there so i responded a week later he said you sound intresting i would really love to meet you ..he lived about ten minutes away from me and we met at a resturant after the meal he took me to see ABOUT A BOY :)) after THAT it was about 11pm he took me to get ice cream at mcdonalds we ate the ice cream on the way to my place

once we got there he was a gentleman and kissed me on the cheek before we planned on getting out of the car i turned so he could get my lips and we kissed for about half an hour :))

i told him that he needed to come in :)) he went home the next day about noon ;)

He was working at a gas station near my house. We started talking and became friends then started going out about 6 months later. We were together 5 years before we got married. We've been married for 18 years and going strong!

I met my husband in a chat room. He was in the USA and I was in the UK. We talked for about 8 months and he invited me over to visit. We had a great time, I met his family and friends but then I had to go back. He had his own business which meant he could visit pretty often. He proposed and I agreed to move back with him to the US. We have been happily married for 5 years now and life is great.

I am ready to leave my husband, but here is my story......

Well, I worked at a convenience store and he delivered the newspapers to our shop. Everyday, he would come in and point to his cheek, and say,'kiss me'. He was a stranger, so everyday, I said, 'no way' I was getting sick of him asking. I was beginning to hate this man. One day, he said, 'kiss me on the cheek, or I will throw the newspapers out on the street.' I had a store full of customers. I just looked at him and shook my head no. -Yes, you guessed it, he threw it out on the street. I was so mad. I tried to ignore him. After that, he quit asking for a kiss. He moved on to, 'How about going out for some coffee.' I always told him, 'NO, I hate coffee'. Finally about two months later of this, 'He asked me out for coffee AGAIN. I said, OK, here's the deal, I will have coffee with you, and then you will never ask me again to go out, or to kiss you. Is that a deal? He said, 'Yes'

Within the first hour, I knew he was the one. Of course, he got his hair cut, he was clean shaved, and dressed sharp. I've never seen him that way before. We've been married for 13 yrs now and together for 15 yrs.

sure thing. i'm enjoying the q & a's myself. i met my husband on a dating website over 2 1/2 yrs ago. we hit it off from day one and a month later he proposed!! (we're both in our mid to late 30's) i didn't accept till 24 hrs later cause i knew i was going to hear it from fam & friends what they thought. we were going to marry a yr later but got pregnant 3 months after proposal. my fiance at the time told me he wouldnt be able to give me kids because he had testicular cancer 5 1/2 yrs ago. i told him it only takes one good sperm, baby!!! my doctor even asked if the baby was his......i looked at him directly w/out hesitation that YES it was cause he was the only man i slept with, thank u very much! We had our wedding last September and gave birth to our beautiful baby boy on Thanksgiving Day.
