What is the main difference between a gel stick & an ink pen?

Gel stick uses gel ink, it's darker, and worse in my open. It's "wetter" than regular ink, and smears easier in my opinion.

I think "gels" write a little smoother, whereas ink can
smear, I personally like gels, but everybody his own,
they come in some "cool" colors.

ink pen just somewhat sounds less 'playful' than gel pen.
but they're the same.
