I have benefits like health insurance and company shares- stocks in company and 401k but afraid I will be let go in the future.

If you think you may be let go - begin to update your resume and call your friendly recruiter now.

Why don't you dip your toes in the water and, check out some other options.
You do have lots of great benefits where you are, but if you want to advance, it may pay you to look elsewhere for promotion.
Make up a resume, and send them to companies, in your field.
See if you get any offers, and what they are. Will they make it worth your while to quit your job and move on.
It could just well be.
You may also find out, that you can't do better, than you have it now. That would answer your question too.
