I have been dating my boyfriend for about 4 years and his dad never really adorded me but was fine with me being around untill one day he just started being rude to me and stopped talking to me and i always overhere him saying rude comments about me when im at his house and he doesnt know. Its really hard to be in a relationship with my boyfriend when his dad doesnt like me and i dont know what to do. I tried breaking up with my BF because this problem gets worse everyday but he refused to let me go and i do still love him. what should i do?

Ignore dad. Why do you care. Your dating the guy, not the dad and not the whole family. There will always be folks that don't like you...and your not gonna like everyone. So ignore him. If you get trapped around him, just act nice(the same way you'd treat a stranger).

Depends on the situation. If you both can live separate somewhere then do and visit his dad once in a while and enjoy his being that natured person from distance.
If you are already living somewhere else and still this problem is there, then if you do really love your boy friend, just ignore his dad.

wow that sound way to fimilair i have the same problem with my boyfriends family.. are families grew up together but they just don't get along but we and my boyfriend met 3 and a half years ago and i didn't start going to his house until i was 18 and i don't think his father liked me at all.. i mean we would fight over my boyfriend all the time how he thought it was better for him to work on are first valentines together and i think he talks behind my back.. i wouldn't break up with your boyfriend because of this. tell him that you need a break from going to his house and that you want him to come to your house.. beleive me i tried leaving my boyfriend to and he told me that he loved me way to much to let me go.. i hope i could have been of help if you want or need someone to talk to you can add me my yahoo messenger is motherof1onjuly102005

If you really want to be with this person, if he doesn't stand up for you with his dad, "drop him like a hot potatoe". Always think of yourself as better then that. There's no-one more important than me, always believe in yourself and the hell with what other people think. Tell him to have a coke and and smile!
