Its the nice way of saying "I'm outta here". Would you be happier if he told you the truth??? You know......"I found someone else thats a lot better looking, better in bed, and isnt a such a *****"
BTW I in NO WAY am saying this is you but it is an example of how a polite and considerate guy "bows out" of a relationship.

No. He just didn't explain it right. He sounds like he wants you as a close friend because your nice and all that to him and the idea of well lets but it having sex with his friend puts him off. He sees that if he does go out with you, he will be looking for a bad girl who can give him some fun and get him going, and in the long run he does not want to hurt your feelings.

But yeah, that is a pretty bad excuse, they may as well say I can't trust u and I don't have the same feelings for u like I used to. Besides I don't think anybody is to good for someone, because u still have the ability choose, choose to work things out and understand.

It's dumb and it's a cop-out excuse. What he's really saying is: "You're a nice person, but I'm just not that into you."

i don't know about dumb but it Ive heard it b4~ its like i am a growed up Adult so if i get hurt i get hurt. i will cry get some sympathy hugs and luv and move on. besides you werent worried about hurtn me when you had me cuffed to the bed ;o)
