Go and get a beer. and hope the system recovers, (not likely!).
Now, you know why all the movies since "Titanic - 1997" were made on PCs running Linux!!!

Most likely you are out of luck. If the application is still running and the system is still online. There is a mild possibility that there is another process that is hanging the application. Depending on what operating system you are working on you can look at the list of tasks and see if any (other than your application) are taking up 100% of the cpu. You can then try and force quit/terminate/kill that appliation. However, this is risky and can halt your entire computer. Odds are your out of luck, save early and often.

There is only one way to retrieve it.
Follow these simple instructions.
Unplug your computer.
Put it under your arm.
Walk down to the bus stop at the end of the road.
Catch the bus that goes to the town centre (I think it's the number 46)
Enter the front door of the tallest block in your town.
Go in the lift and press the top button.
Get out when the lift reaches the top floor.
Open a window
and . . . . . oh excuse me, my doorbell has just rung

im ot sure if this works for that program, but go to your internet, and press CTRL and H on your keyboard at the same time. you wil see the history of what you recently did on your computer....it might be there. if not, check the program's history.

If you're talking about Windows Movie Maker [i'm not sure if they're the same or not] then you SHOULD be able to close it, and open it again and it will have recovered it.
That's what mine does.
But I don't know if it does it for everyone, etc.
Sorry.

you could wait for it to begin to respond again, sometimes programs freeze when your computer begins doing somethign in the background. just wait a while. also if you are running xp try to open the programs manager and see if a nother process caused it to seize up like that.
