I just looked in urbandictionary.com, and here's their definition - so the term's been around awhile. It even has synonyms!

Somone who always agrees with Bush. Usually uses Bush's words to express their own opinion.

see fundie

urbandictionary.com is very cool. I recommend it. They even give examples of usage.

"Ed is such a Bushbot! He's incapable of disagreeing with W on anything."

But they don't tell the origins, which is what I am asking.

Seriously, no matter what your politics, this is a good, uptodate slang dictionary, I recommend it.

I never heard that before. Maybe it's the 'bot" that checks our Internet activity and our phone calls.

It's a term that was actually passed backwards in time.. you see.... Al Franken came from the future to warn America about the folies of GWBush.... unfortunately he was stranded in our time and all that is left of the future he "was" a part of is the vernacular. One popular term was "bushbot", which has a very interesting origin. You see.... The Erotica Industry will make a sharp boom in about ten years, what with the rise of STD's and hours put in at the job. Men begin to purchase "state-of-the-art" androids that have sexual organs that are fully operational.... thus they would screw them... and the "slang" term for the "female androids" was "Bushbots". Well, during Al Franken's talk show, in the future, he amuses himself by talking about GWBush and his "cronies" affects on the Country... how he "screwed" the American Public...

So, since the "female androids" screw men... and the "cronies" of Bush helped screw America.... "Bushbots" became slang for followers of the Great George Bush Jr.

You're Welcome.

I guess I didn't know, either. I thought it meant the President's yes men. Because they stick to him so I thought they meant;

Bush+bot fly of insect family of the order Diptera. The adults are beelike in appearance, hairy but without bristles; the larvae are parasitic on mammals. Yes men = parasites

Never heard of it.

Be careful. If it is anti-Bush, someone may be feeding you a little bull. The Bush Haters lie like dogs, because they have no thoughts of their own.
