Use the least amount necessary. If your skin is fairly even then you don't need foundation. If your eyelashes are dark and fairly thick, then don't bother with mascara. If you want to emphasize your eyes a little, use a neutral (brown) eyeshadow, probably in warmer colors (yellow or orange brown rather than gray brown) on the lids only. Use a darker brown shadow as a liner by dipping a fine brush in water and moistening the shadow, then pressing it (don't "draw" a line) into the lash line. This will make your lashes look thicker.
Use a semi-transparent lip gloss or sheer lipstick in warm reds, browns or peaches. Don't line your lips - it really doesn't look good on anyone.
Add a little color to the apples of your cheeks with a sheer blush - you can go a little darker than you think as long as you apply it very lightly. Put it on the apples of your cheeks rather than back on the cheekbones.

If you are just starting,
simply use a little cover-up for pimples:
*its easy to find your right color, just try some on at the store(its a liquidy substance)
* a little powder over your entire face smoothes out your skin..but DON'T cake your makeup on! whatever you do!
then choose which color eye liner&mascara u want to use.
*for carmel skin, just use a dark brown or blackish and apply a VERY thin amount around the eye
*mascara seemed hard to put on, but try it, its very easy!
Then use a little blush if you looked a little washed out
*a bronzy color with a slight tint of pinkish would be fine for you!
Hope I helped you out just a little bit!

First, dont go crazy with it.
Mascara: goes on the top eyelashes. When its light and beautiful, you are done with this.
Eye shadow: goes on the eyes, You just brush it on there. I like to match the eye shadow color with my eye color.
Eyeliner: goes under the eyes where the lashes are. You use it like a pencil.
Blush: you dab the pad on the powder a couple of times and then dab on face where the cheeks are. If there is nothing inside but powder, then get a cotton ball ot tissue.
Lipstick/Lip gloss: as you mostly may know, goes on the lips. And, thats preaty much all. Good luck!

i suggest eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss. if ur brows are light, then eyebrow powder does WONDERS to shape the face!
if u have good skin, but sometimes have oil, either get blotters or get some translucent powder (i like Rimmel, at wal mart).. or u can try Sephora.
smudge on black eye liner right at the lash line (i use L'oreal from Target), start from inner eye to outer eye, but once u pass 3/4 of ur eye, go straight out (don't follow the eye downwards) a little past the outer eye. it'll really open it up, and give ur eyes a lift. if u want to go a little more dramatic at night, liquid eyeliner is Awesome. i like Christian Dior's, and they have a good one at Bourjois too.
put some mascara (L'oreal from Target again) on the top lashes, and a little on the bottom. if u have a highlighter (white/pearl) pencil, line the bottom eyelids at the lash line
lip gloss (MAC, or Revlon, or L'oreal), i like pinks right now
ur done! natural, and beautiful~

dont use foundation. it will make your skin look nice when its on but its heavy and gross. pick some neutral colors for eyeshadow to practice with that way it wont be too bad if you mess it up and do just mascara first. dont try eyeliners or blush yet. thats how i learned how to put makeup on. i would just sit in front of the mirror and put it on take it off put it on etc. until i got the hang of it and would move on to the next thing. good luck

Maybelline Matte Mousse Foundation (walgreens $3)
Generic Makeup sponges (walgreens $ 1)
Maybelline SHINEFree Loose Powder (wlagreens $3)
Generic Kabuki Brush (walgreens $3)
CoverGirl Powder Blush (walgreens $2)
Generic Blush Brush (walgreens $2)
Revlon Eyelash Curler (walgreens $3)
CoverGirl Lash Exact Mascara (walgreens $7)
N.Y.C. Eyeliner (walgreens $1)
Revlon Illumanance Creme Shadow (biglots $2)
Wet'n'Wild Lipstick (walgreens $1)
I pat the makeup sponge in the foundation and apply over my whole face and under my chin, be sure to use downward stroke on forehead, cheeks and upper lip to keep little hairs going down and not as noticable.
Tap a medium amount of powder in the lid and swirl with the kabuki brush make sure all the powder is tucked up in the bristles and tap your brush on the rim of the lid to get excess powder off. Apply using circular motions over entire face and under chin.
Use blush brush to swirl lightly over the blush tap excess off brush and apply in circular motion over cheeck bones and nose. Apply sparingly to forehead and chin if you feel like it.
Using Revlon lash curler close your eyes 2/3 way so you can see what your doing and curl lashes from base to tip, holding about 5 seconds in each section (e.g. base, middle, tip)
Apply mascara to lashes above, and sparingly to lower lashes.
Use eyeliner under the lower lashes, never on the inner rim, this could cause conjuntivitis and makes the eyes appear smaller.
Revlon Creme shadow comes in many many many different colors and assortments, this is best because you mix and match the shades. I usually apply it to the lower part of my eye lid instead of up to my brow bone, but it's up to you.
For lipstick start in the center of your upper lip and go outwards following the curve of your lips. Rub them together and to make your lips look bigger apply the lipstick sparingly to the arches of your upper lip.
Hope I helped!
Me â¥
I am also not advertising for walgreens or biglots, this is just where I get my stuff and how much it is, an example if you will.

start with some chap-stick, then a pink, clear or red lip-gloss. if your are going to use mascara only use a little. not too much foundation. if you want blush try a color thats close to your skin so it lookds natural. A smile is th best make-up.
