Give it a while for your eyes to adjust. If they're still blurry, either take them off only when you need to, or talk to your doctor and get bifocals... I've had them since I was 4.

I sure it is alright, but try to wear them as much as possible, This will give your eyes time to adapt. That happened for me. Whenever I felt dizzy or it was too blurry, I would take them off an focus on something else. But in the long run you should be wearing your glasses as much as possible. If you have not reached this point after 3 weeks, go back to your doctor. They may have messed up on your perscription.

they tell you that for some reason but I have always found that only using them when I need them works better for me. I am nearsighted too and things up close were blurry for me too. I wear them when I drive or watch tv or anything far away. Been doing that for many years and my vision has changed very little

Only wear them when you need them, if it's blurry when you read a book take them off. Ask your doctor though, don't take my word for it (or anyone elses on here!) Don't be afraid to ask questions.

if glasses are supposed to be corrective, then why is it still blurry when you read? it should be that you have a hard time reading without them...think i would go back to the eye doctor

If you're nearsighted then you should be able to read books just fine. You just have to give your eyes time to adjust. Your eyesight isn't that bad that you have to wear them all the time.

I would suggest you wear them whenever you need to see clearly... but its fine to give your eyes a rest when your laying down or sitting down....

In the future after your eyes adjust to your prescription and you get used to your glasses... you might want to look into buying contacts.... that way you can be active without the glasses dragging you down....

He should have given you bi-focals. If not, get a pair of reading glasses from a discount store thats good for the computer and for reading.

Do what the doctor said. Keep them on and limit reading and playing on the computer until your eyes get used to their new prescription.

Of course... I take them off all the time, I wear glasses, too. But, well, I think you should get used to them, first.
