I can't go to the lake with one of my friends because he likes to drive right up to the waters edge and stop quickly. I can go up to it without a problem except when I'm in a car and I won't even attempt a boat. What's your fear? (And story)

Water is a fear of mine, but I freak out if my boyfriend goes near the edge of the water. I'm scared to death he'll fall in and I won't be able to help, because I can't swim. Nothing scares him, which scares me even worse.

Yes. I am terrified of spiders. My dad was giving me a driving lesson, and a spider was dangling down right in front of my face. In my surprise and fear I took my foot off the brake, realized what I had done, stepped on the brake again(only a fraction of a second later), tried to put the car in park, missed put it in reverse, tried again, got it into park and jumped out of the car, tripping and cutting the back of my ankle.

Terrified of snakes...even a picture of one is enough to make me squimish. Once I was at the zoo and it started pouring so we darted into a nearby building, turns out it was the reptile house. Yeah those were the worst 20 minutes of my life....

Sometimes I have to get out of the sea, fast, if I'm swimming in it, which I love, but the fear of sharks sometimes really gets me

I'm terrified of dams. I used to have to walk across one all the time and I'd have recurring nightmares about it crumbling under my feet.
