Is the U.S. armed forces hiring murderers to defend their country or is the war creating cold blooded murderers?

Anywhere you have people there's going to be crime. It is not acceptable nor is it incouraged. They will be punished for commiting those crimes. Believe me. If I saw someone do that I would stop it. I was there myself. There was something wrong with that soldier.

Both. Sorry to say but statistically this is a rarer occurance in Iraq than in New York City where free Americans commit these crimes. Surely you can understand a few bad apples enlisting in the military!

War brings out the worst out of (most) everybody. Soldiers are trained to kill, but raping is never acceptable

Soldiers are indeed trained to kill, and that's what they do. How many of the local terrorists in your country are killers and rapists?
