I suppose this would be the right category for this. But I'm a 40DDD at the moment, if I measured right (every website I go to says something different on how to measure and how come it is that a padded bra fits differently than a cotton? lol), and right now, I've got a cotton bra (underwire), and I love it, but I've lost some weight and it's old--so it's stretched out a bit and doesn't fit right anymore. AKA time for a new one. But which one has the best support and fits good? Is it possible to get a comfortable bra that holds up these puppies AND manages to be somewhat sexy, too?
So I thought I'd ask: ladies, what is your favorite bra? What kind is it (demi, push-up, full coverage, etc)? What do you like about it? Where'd you get it?
Thanks!!

I normally shop at Lane Bryant and I just bought a new bra, a padded underwire "balconnette"; I'd heard they gave great cleavage as well as being supportive and sexy. But I HATE it. It's got great cleavage and it holds the girls up great, but for some reason, it's absolutely killing my shoulders. I can't stand to wear it. Shame too, becuase I love the way it looks with a shirt on. The cotton one brand new was SO comfortable, but it's not that sexy to look at. lol

well, I can't say I'm as large as you but I have larger ones and gravity is taking place. Plus now that I'm getting older I like comfort. I got a comfortable one at wal-mart, oh and believe me I love Vikki's but they never ever fit me, no matter which one I tried. Anyways I was browsing the clearance and I really like it (Fruit of the Loom-Just for her. It's cotton and push up and the back is lace. I've had it for 9 months I really like it. I also got fitted for a (Felina) that one is too small and I got fitted. The bras I really like are the ones I didn't spend alot of money on and they are comfortable.

If you can shop at the lingerie department at Nieman Marcus, the salesperson is trained to teach you all about how the different types of bras are designed to do different types of things for different types of ladies sizes. It really is amazing what you will learn. For example, you must always choose an under-wire bra if you are needing support, and if you're a larger cup, you should chose the bras that pull in your breasts from under the arm inward as well, which makes a beautiful cleavage (since obviously you don't need a padded or demi bra.
But, you don't even have to purchase a bra there, just make the valuable information they are trained to give a customer with you and you will from then on know how to identify what you specifically need in a bra shopping anywhere...and you can begin passing on this info as well.

I'm a 38FF my favorite bras are the full coverage and push up. It is extremely hard to find good bras as I am sure you are well aware. And no matter what kind of bra I get my shoulders always hurt anyway. Well I hope you find what you're looking for.

I also shop at LB but the most comfortable one I found was at the Avenue. ( full coverage but very lacy) I have a hard time as well (38 E) but I have gotten them at Fredericks of Hollywood (online only) and LB2ME hope this helps both demi and push up

best thing for you to do is to go to victorias secret or macy's (any good dept store really) and get properly fitted. that way you will know your correct size.
i personally like demi bras. im a C cup and it makes me look a little bigger but im guessing good support is your main concern.
i would definitly take the time to get a proper fit, i think it would help alot just by hacing the proper size.

Head on over to something like, say, Victoria's Attic. Anywhere taht specializes in bras, and can measure you. The shopkeepers will probably be ladies, so ask them what they recommend. After all, it's their buisness to know.
