I have a yeast infection and tried to use Monistat 7 cream last night to cure the infection. However, I was met with so much resistance that I was unable to insert the applicator. I then spent several hours trying to insert my pinky finger and finally succeeded.

Now, I am noticing some spotting and more itching than before. Is this normal? Even after successfully inserting my pinky finger, my vaginal entrance is very small. Should I work my way up to inserting a bigger finger? I am a virgin. Please help!

more itching and spotting is probably due to the irritation from trying to insert the applicator.

Since you are having such a hard time with the applicator, you can use the very good remedy of eating yogurt... it replaces your body's normal flora (bacteria) that will kill the infectious bacteria that is there now.

BUT... since you are so irritated that you can barely get a pinky finger in, i suggest you go to the doctor and have them give you something stronger than yogurt or monistat, to knock this infection out asap.

It probable is a yeast an infection yet because you have in no way had one formerly you are able to visit the healthcare expert to get it appeared at. sometimes the indicators of a yeast an infection are reminiscent of the indicators of a bacterial an infection, called bacterial vaginosis. Sorry that's sort of gross, yet listed right here are the indicators of a yeast an infection: itchy, painful, annoyed, white discharge like cottage cheese, no undesirable scent for a bacterial an infection: itchy, painful, smells undesirable like fish confirm you place on loose-setting up, cotton undies till it clears up. you prefer to maintain issues dry and ethereal. Use the over the counter stuff at night. If it would not sparkling up quickly you extremely could see a doctor. they are able to prescribe a one-time tablet called Diflucan that's greater than the o.t.c. stuff. good success!

Yeah work in a larger finger. Gently back and forth until you work up a secretion. Lick the secretion and taste for saltiness. If it salty seek medical attention immediately. If it is sweet sell it on Ebay. Upon secretion try inserting the vaginal cream.
