or sling?

my high school lets students carry their bags throughout the whole day. which one would be easy to carry with about 3 books inside plus binders and folders? i might also need to carry more books with my hands.

Regular - that being the kind with the two straps.

I have used all 4 and find that with the weight distributed evenly among two shoulders, it's less strain on your back compaired to a bag with just one shoulder strap. I would very highly recommend a regular bag.

I would go with the messenger bag cause you can hold the most in it. Plus, it's very easy to carry. In fact, I use one for work and love it. I can put anything in there and don't have to worry about it. Plus, it looks quite stylish and it's so much easier than just carrying a purse on top of having a messenger bag. I know that Mervyns and Target have a great selection. In fact, I saw the girl with the cutest messenger bag she bought at Target the other day when I was there. Good luck in finding one and I'm sure you'll find one that suits your style :)

I would recommend a regular or a sling book bag. A tote or messenger bag will be hard on your shoulders if you plan on carrying 3+ books and binders.

a regular backpack would most likely be the easiest, but i personally think messengers back look alot better.

we have to do the same and backpacks are the easiest because not everything fits into a messenger bag, and you really dont want to be carrying those books around all day in your arms, trust me.

so im going to suggest a regular backpack would be best.

Just use a regular book bag, but try to find one that will hold three textbooks and three 1-inch binders relatively easily (it will probably have separate compartments). Totes tend to be smaller, and messenger bags are a good size, but the one-shoulder thing is inconvenient and somewhat detrimental, not to mention unfashionable.

I think totes are really cute - and don't worry, i know it seems stressfull, but you'll end up carrying less books than you think. Messengeers end up just being too bulky, always bumbing into thinkgs and people in the hallways, and i think reular backpacks take away from peopls outsits. IF you do go with a regular backpack, pick a white corduroy jansport! GOOD LUCK!

I use a messenger but I don't have that many books plus I'm collegiate not high school but I would suggest trying them out to see which feels more comfortable and go that route

Nike has great backpacks. They are very durable and strong. THey are pretty expensive. But the other backpack is a Jansport Superbreak. They come in a lot of patterns and colors.

When I was in high school I had all kinds of bags--but I always went back to the one with two straps--I always had a Jansport, it was always the most comfortable, held the most stuff
