Your connection is not powerful enough, i.e. you are probably not using broadband.

I sometimes have this problem, what I have to do is wait for it to buffer, which can take a very long time,depending on what ur trying to download, I have ADSL so its got nothing to do with that, after it has buffered, you can then start it again and watch it.

If you were emailed Links, then just wait for them to finish buffering, if you were emailed the actual clips, then suggest you save them to a folder on your pc before you try to view them, you might wanna virus scan them first too.

You were probably sent links to the clips and not the files themselves. depending on the site you are trying to view it from and the speed of your connection it may not play very well and give you these problems.

make sure you download them properly
after this they should play properly
unless they are links
