All of what Damsel said is true Cleopatra VII was a descendant of Ptolemy I and she was a Macedonian Greek, but she was still Egyptian. She was a ruler of Egypt and therefore her citizenship had changed to Egypt and that was also where her loyalty was. So she was Macedonian Greek and Egyptian.
